Our evolving One State Solution can immediately not only solve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and get everyone on a rapid path to socioeconomic prosperity, but also serve as a beacon of economic education to the world.
Both antisemitism and Zionism are rooted in the same intellectual error, that the homo sapiens who “identify as Jews” are so different from the other homo sapiens that they must leave the real thousands of towns and Synagogues where for hundreds of years they were an integral part of Western Civilization to create a country (Israel) based on religious mythology in an area already populated by others who had a different “identity” (Muslims, Christians, and fellow anti-Zionist Jews) and for numerous understandable reasons were adamantly opposed to the creation of, and potentially living under a, “Jewish State”. What creates socioeconomic harmony is neither the ‘Coercive Central Planning by Experts’ myths associated with Communism which fooled many bright and well-intentioned people to disaster, nor the need to remove Jews from their surroundings which is what the naive antisemites may prefer, nor the need to create your own ethno-state which is the foundational error-myth of Zionism.
Being ignorant of how socioeconomic prosperity arises from simple economic freedom, the main Zionist ideologues like Herzl, Jabotinsky, Max Nordau, and Benjamin Natanyahu’s dad, Benzion Netanyahu, understandably made the mistake of believing that their own ethno-State, thus Zionism, was the key to prosperity. While praising the perceived greatness of Herzl, Benzion writes a bunch of nonsense regarding what makes a nation great:
“He [Herzl] knew that not on the basis of physical power, nor on the basis of building houses or buying up tracts of land, would a nation gain what it yearned for. A nation gains what it yearns for only on the basis of an undetectable and unquantifiable transformation in its spiritual life, character and outlook. At the very moment a downtrodden nation wholeheartedly believes in its own power and greatness, at that moment it is assured of acquiring power and greatness in practice. Of course, it is necessary for that belief to be general and overwhelming, and it is necessary for it to be based on the existence of real strengths, although such strength might be concealed within the nation and not easily discernable to all. But a nation which does not believe in its ability to achieve great things, will never achieve them. The most awesome national power is the belief in those abilities, and only this power can pave the road to both liberation and a magnificent future. Herzl knew this secret of human nature. He knew that at the very moment when, to use the prophet Zephaniah’s aphorism, “The weakling will say: I am strong!” at that moment he becomes strong in practice. If a nation says out of conviction, I am strong and forceful, then it becomes strong and forceful. This is the law of greatness, and this is the law of liberation; there is no other.”
The above “law of greatness” and everything else the underpins Zionism is all understandable economically ignorant nonsense. As with Socialism-Communism, Jewish nationalism via Zionism was just another economically ignorant set of myths which understandably lured more and more fellow homo sapiens who had absorbed a ‘Jewish identity’.
Chaim Weizmann, the leading Zionist figure after Herzl’s death in 1904, lamented how “assimilated Jews” were “dead against Zionism” and wisely identified Zionism as “a primitive tribalism”:
“For assimilated Jews…They looked upon it…as a primitive tribalism. They felt themselves…called upon to “rescue” Judaism from Zionism…these people are dead against Zionism…Zionism is not meant for those people who have cut themselves adrift from Jewry…”
Of course! That rapidly increasing number of very well educated cosmopolitan “assimilated Jews” spread all over Europe-USA just wanted to be fellow human beings or equal world citizens free of ancient tribalisms-mysticisms-identities and were overwhelmingly opposed to Zionism in the late 1800s. Unfortunately, for very understandable reasons-factors for which nobody is to blame and are ultimately rooted in economic ignorance, like a rocket that is just about to reach orbit but runs out of fuel and comes crashing down to earth, Zionism would inadvertently pull ‘Jewish Identity’ and all of Western Civilization back to an increasingly ethnocentric identity-worldview with disastrous consequences. Instead of having an “identity” or culture that could spread the TRUTH, that freedom and individual rights were increasing and antisemitism was decreasing, we now had the evolution of a “Zionist identity” that would grow by doing the opposite, by amplifying, bringing attention to, and attempting to eradicate antisemitism, not by understanding its numerous underlying fallacies, but by violence, force, vilification, separation, etc. which would ultimately lead to increasing polarizations and wars like World War Two and then all the chaos associated with the history of Zionism-Israel and never-ending polarizing wars. The Zionist Jews began to tie their “identity” to a massive error and eventually reach the stage where we are today, where saying that Zionism and the resulting Israeli state as it currently functions has been a massive error, essentially what most Jews in the late 1800s were wisely saying, is seen by many Jews today as antisemitic. CEO of the Anti-Defamation League Jonathan Greenblatt has mentioned that “Anti-Zionism is antisemitism” and also that “Anti-Zionism is genocide”. Like a young ideologue who is persuaded by Marx’s “Communist Manifesto” and sees businessmen and investors profiting from laborers as selfish, “greedy”, sinister capitalist exploiters to be killed, as Israeli author of the excellent book ‘The Invention of the Jewish People’, Shlomo Sand, mentions: “Zionism has become…. a sort of Stalinism” which seeks to make it a ‘hate crime’ to criticize or want to greatly alter the current Israeli-Zionist state. The Communists, like the witch burners, were just executing the myths that filled their minds. The Zionists are just doing the same. What a mess! The patterns just repeat. Both antisemitism and Zionism were-are intellectual errors. We must work to overcome them both.
Before even discussing the actual details, any solution will need to find various Gorbachevs or Deng Xiaopings, in other words, respected leaders who can admit that their respective populations have made mistakes which have contributed to the problems. First we need Israeli-Zionist leaders who can admit that Zionism, as with Soviet and Maoist Communism which inadvertently lured many bright and well-intentioned people to disaster, had been an understandable error. Just like the Communists continued to wreck their economies as their various central plans failed, so have the Zionists and their Zionized American politicians increased the chaos, suffering, and expanding world-wide censorship-tyranny and polarizations as they keep pushing the flawed ideology.
Prosperity for homo sapiens, regardless of what “identity” they have absorbed, comes from freedom, free markets, etc. NOT having some state that discriminates based on such “identity”, especially one founded by economically clueless ideologues and the massive displacement of over 700,000 people. Shit happens. Again, the smart atheist Soviets and their countless “great” scientists and mathematicians and chess players fucked up big, and so did the Chinese. Economic ignorance likewise misled many Jews into preaching for Zionism instead of economic freedom. We also need Islamic leaders to admit how their at-times conspiratorial and other misguided and unsympathetic remarks about Jews have been contributors to Zionist fallacies.
The goal will be the replacement of the current flawed Zionist government-entity for a modern free market state where everyone will have real freedom, equal rights, and skyrocketing socioeconomic advancement. Name and flag can be determined in some future time but should obviously not single out or exclude any group of people. We’ll call it ‘New Palestine’ for now just because ‘Palestine’ is what existed before the Zionist error.
The Solution will be introduced in two steps. First we will describe what the final state will look like, some of the problems it will overcome, various benefits, and a few remarks regarding the feasibility of everyone living together especially given the increasing polarizations due to the Israeli-Hamas war. Second we will discuss a few steps to transition from our current state with its Israeli-Hamas war and ramifications to this final One State. As things currently stand in late 2023 only about 15% of Palestinians and Israelis believe that they could live together in a single state with equal rights. We aim to persuade them so that most will agree to a solution along these lines.
‘New Palestine’ will be a modern free market state where the central government should be minimal in the sense that it should only be involved in protecting private property and should clearly be forbidden from ever going into education, elderly care, any kind of socialized medicine, etc. This is NOT up to democratic change and is important so that Jews will not fear a larger Muslim population eventually taking their freedoms-wealth, which would definitely be the case if they were forced to pay for massive public sector welfare-state-bureaucracies attempting to provide equal access-funding for education, health services, elderly care, etc. that the economically ignorant though well intentioned public always falls for. Freemarketeers know that democracy “is nothing more than mob rule, where fifty-one percent of the people may take away the rights of the other forty-nine.” — Thomas Jefferson. It is not “Democracy” that brings prosperity, it is the ‘competitive knowledge discovery’ that arises from private property and thus freedom.
‘The Voluntaryist Constitution’ provides a great foundation for the legal structure of ‘New Palestine’. Jews and Muslims and Christians, everyone, will have the obvious freedom to pool their wealth to create their own privately funded educational systems-charities and be free to discriminate if they so wish based on religion, sex, whatever their customs or free individuals agree upon. Palestinians who were expelled during various wars and their descendants will obviously have the right to go back to the lands they were expelled from. If the lands have since been developed a simple starting solution to the potential conflicts and a way to provide some restitution to the Palestinians and help get this new country on a rapid path to amazing prosperity is as follows. Jews keep all lands and homes and buildings they currently have developed and are clearly being used for productive purposes, even the settlements in the West Bank. Then we take the other land (including the south which is currently mostly desert) and using some simple software we distribute it to all Palestinians and their descendants who were dispossessed thus privatizing most of the country. A similar effort should be made so that Jews who were expelled from European and Muslim countries can regain their lost property. So far this simple framework accomplishes the following. Jews should be pretty happy, no fear of a demographic majority that can then interfere with your freedom and-or property, no need to pay for the education of non-Jews or other Jews for that matter, freedom from the bloated, competition-immune and prosperity-destroying Israeli state which treated its citizens like lab-rats during CovidMania. No draconian uprooting or potentially economically devastating disruptions. Palestinians regain their freedom and land. Since this minimal state will have minimal taxes or regulations it will quickly blossom in prosperity. Foreign investment will rush into the country to hire Palestinians, competition between them for their labor will quickly increase their pay-wealth. The land will quickly increase in value providing much deserved compensation for the Palestinians. Eilat, Israel’s most southern city, is less than 4 hours from Jerusalem. I’m estimating each Palestinian over 18 will get over an acre of land close to Jerusalem in a country that will soon skyrocket in socioeconomic prosperity and serve as an example-beacon of progress.
In just 30 years Dubai went from sparsely populated desert to modern metropolis. ‘New Palestine’, with its even freer and thus more competitive and productive future economy, proximity to already advanced social order via Israeli companies(who themselves will accelerate their own advancement by being free of the bloated Israeli state), proximity to other major cities like Cairo and Damascus, all now easily integrated with peace and unhampered commerce, will likely surpass Dubai-like prosperity in less than 5 years.
Next a few thoughts regarding the feasibility of this proposal. As things are today over 20% of Israelis are Arabs. So Jews and Arabs already getting along in a single state already happens relatively peacefully, and even with all the errors associated with current Zionist state like having a flag and national anthem that represents people whose grandparents (Jews) expelled the family members and co-religionists of 20% of its population. The above suggested changes will only make it even easier to get along. Initially those whose “identities” fear-distrust each other the most will just live in more segregated parts of the country and neighborhoods just like happens in the USA with states, cities, and neighborhoods with higher proportions of various groups like Blacks, Asians, Hispanics, etc. In the USA there are no black or Hispanic or White militias attacking each other and the same would occur in this new country. Blacks were once slaves with an understandable hatred of whites, yet freedom and emerging truths that we all are just fellow homo sapiens has arenas full of mostly white people paying to see mostly black basketball players.
Next we propose steps to make a smooth transition to this new prosperous country. The following steps will be done with the expectation that by May 14, 2025, the flawed Zionist Israeli state will be dissolved and be replaced by ‘New Palestine’.
1. Zionist forces stop their retaliatory Israeli-Hamas war (or any war-occupation) against Gaza and also end the the military occupation of the West Bank.
2. We create the competing state of ‘New Palestine’ which encompases Gaza, the West Bank and a small strip of land that can join the two. Everyone in Israel (Jews, Arabs, etc.) will also get automatic citizenship in ‘New Palestine’ and should have the freedom to renounce citizenship and no longer pay taxes or abide by the regulations of a state they don’t want to be a part of, whether it is the Israeli-Zionist state or ‘New Palestine’. World pressure should be put on Israel to not coerce, imprison, or kill its citizens (especially Jews ironically) who rather live by the rules of ‘New Palestine’ and no longer pay taxes to the Zionist-Israeli state. Any state forcing Jews to patronize it should be seen as antisemitic and thus committing the ultimate sin. We must use the current chaos as an opportunity to educate the world about the need to allow people to more easily create and choose the state-government of their choosing, thus introducing ‘competitive knowledge discovery’ in state creation-formation-evolution. The process of land-privatization begins. Palestinians are free to travel, foreign investment will rush in helping to hire and reorder this new low-tax country. The financial incentives of abandoning the Zionist state in favor of ‘New Palestine’ will likely immediately motivate at least 20% (likely the most productive and entrepreneurial) Jews to renounce Israeli citizenship, with likely many more to come as the skyrocketing benefits of peace and a much smoother capitalism in ‘New Palestine’ grows. The land, resources, property of former Israelis who have renounced Israeli citizenship should now be seen as incorporated into ‘New Palestine’ and subject to its rules-regulations.
3. ‘New Palestine’ grows and absorbs lands that are south of Be’er Sheva and to its East and West, but the city and the north that joins it with Israel can remain in Israel longer to give more time for transition. Many more Israelis will renounce Israeli-Zionist citizenship, thus starve it of taxes, resources, and further shrink its size, as ‘New Palestine’ grows. Palestinians get access to much land they now own.
4. ‘New Palestine’ grows to absorb all territory south of line joining Gaza and the West Bank which will now include Be’er Sheva.
5. We reach May 15th, 2025. We pull the plug on the Zionist state and the rest of the people, including the Jews gain much more freedom by now being members of ‘New Palestine.
The very mention by a few prominent Israeli and Islamic leaders that we will begin to work towards a solution along the above lines, as well as getting a few major Muslim and Jewish athletes or influencers will greatly increase the feasibility of a proposal along these lines, persuade people, and reverse the polarizations and direction towards the Final World War. It is easy to see how similar solutions can be applied to the Russia-Ukraine war and other conflicts.
Loudly clamoring for a solution along these lines brings us free-marketeers tremendous advantages. We will be the only ones actually making noise and bringing attention to a rather simple-and-thus-easy-to-spread viral plan. It gives us an opportunity to teach and sort of piggyback basic economics as we explain to people how prosperity will skyrocket helping us in our more ambitious world-wide free-market educational efforts, which is obviously the key to everything.
